Dave Jesse joined The Harry A. Koch Co. in 1989 as a Financial Analyst responsible for financial statement analysis for our Bond clients. In 1991 he took control of the Bond Department as Manager. His success in that area led to expansion of responsibilities into oversight of the Professional Liability program and promotion to Vice President in 1996. Dave's abilities to read the insurance market place, his aptitude in program design and consistent customer service led to expansion of customer focus to the construction arena. Due to Dave's leadership and experience, he assumed a team leadership role and mentors members of the Commercial Insurance Division. In 2008 Dave was promoted to Sr. Vice President and has served as a member of the Executive Management Team since that time. He was recently named a Director and member of the Board of Directors and continues to provide overall leadership and shape strategic organizational direction.

Dave is a graduate of the University of Nebraska Lincoln where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in finance. He is also a graduate of the University of Nebraska Omaha where he received his Masters of Business Administration. Dave is an active Associate Member of the AIA, ACEC, DBIA and AGC. In 2006 and 2010, Dave participated in the Negotiated Rulemaking Committee of the Nebraska Board of Engineers and Architects representing the insurance industry in the State of Nebraska. He is a frequent presenter to these association meetings.

As a past recipient of a National Insurance Scholarship for Continuing Education, Dave has conducted a number of educational seminars to the Architectural and Engineering colleges at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln and Omaha on risk management/insurance issues.

Ken Jarosz joined The Harry A. Koch Co. in 1987 as a Controller responsible for the daily financial operations of the agency and the preparations of the financial statements and tax returns. Promotion to Vice President in 1989 coincided with increased responsibilities in agency management, building management, and the management of the agency Information Technology department. In 1998, Ken was promoted to Senior Vice President with additional responsibilities in agency strategic planning and corporate governance.

In addition to his role as Controller, Ken is also a vital resource in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, and special projects. He was instrumental in recent acquisitions, the building of the corporate headquarters building, and move to the agency's current location. Ken's proven leadership and demonstrated strategic planning led to his placement on The Koch Co. Board of Directors in 2004.

With over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, Ken has extensive knowledge as it relates to agency operations, strategic planning, and mergers and acquisitions. Ken currently maintains an inactive Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation. He is also a member of the Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Prior to joining the Koch Co., Ken was in public accounting practicing in the areas of tax and auditing. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Karen joined The Harry A. Koch Co. in 1985 as the Assistant Manager in Marketing. In 1986 she was named Vice President. Her promotion to Director of Commercial Insurance in 1992 coincided with increased responsibility and the overall coordination of carrier relationships and services for our commercial insurance clients. During her first ten years with the company, she advanced through the organization and was responsible for managing, hiring and developing the company's Commercial and Marketing staff members. In 1998 she was named Senior Vice President. Karen's leadership, thoughtful and deliberate execution of programs and services and her ability to strategically plan for growth and expansion of services led to her placement on The Koch Co. Board of Directors in 2004.

Karen has served on the National Independent Agents Education Advisory Panel and the AAI national exam review committee for the Insurance Institute of America. Karen has received both the Accredited Advisor in Insurance designation as well as the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation. Additionally, she has experience in the insurance education field, teaching and organizing classes for all levels of the industry.

James Garbina joined The Koch Co. in 1987 as a Sales Executive. In 1992 he was promoted to Vice President and Senior Vice President in 1999. Over the past 26 years, Jim has expanded his role to include responsibility for large account management, strategic planning as a Director in our company, and management of the Employee Benefits and Financial Services Division.

Jim played an integral role in the development of three healthcare trusts. The Non-Profit Association of the Midlands, the Medical Association Trust, and The Koch Trust allow members to enjoy the benefits of large group buying power while controlling costs. Membership in the combined trusts today nears 500 Nebraska-based businesses. Jim is a vital resource for those member businesses; analyzing program design, working with our network of insurance carriers, and collaborating with his associates to ensure the financial goals of member businesses are being met.

In addition to a resident agent, broker, and consultant insurance license and multiple non-resident licenses, Jim holds a Series 6 (FINRA) securities license. As an active member of National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, Jim serves as a Board member and earned hi Fellowship designation (LUTCF) in 1994. He is a current member of the National Association of Health Underwriters and also serves The Koch Co. as our representative with the Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers. The Council represents the top 1% of Brokers world-wide. Other community involvement includes membership on the Board for the UNO Alumni Association, Midwest Child Care, St. Columbkille's Finance Committee and the Nebraska Medical Association Health Care Task Force.

Dave Dominiani, CPA

Dave Dominiani joined The Harry A. Koch Co. in 2001 after relocating to Lincoln from Pennsylvania. Dave has over 20 years construction and bond experience, first as a practicing CPA specializing in construction, then as an agent concentrating in bonds. Dave actually owned a bonding agency prior to joining Koch and transferring part of his business.

Dave obtained his bachelor of science degree in Business Administration from Shippensburg University in 1978 and earned his CPA designation in 1981. He has been an instructor for the National Association of Surety Bond Producers Surety School and has held various board and committee leadership positions for that organization. He has also served on several surety company advisory panels. Dave is a member of the AICPA, AGC, CFMA and various community organizations.

Dave has diverse business experience in financial statement presentation, tax issues, and construction operations and uses that knowledge to assist clients in maximizing surety credit and improving presentations to bond companies. Dave provides education for customers as well as consulting at board and management meetings.

Ron Allison

Nearly five decades of experience came with Ron Allison in November 2012 when he joined forces with The Koch Co.  Ron began his career in the surety bond business with Aetna Casualty and Surety Co. after graduating from Creighton University with a Bachelor's degree.

In 1974 Ron founded Constructor's Bonding Company followed by Constructor's Insurance Agency in 1984 and then co-founded Constructor's Bonding, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ in 1981.  Throughout his career, Ron has worked with local, regional, and nationwide contractors and surety companies to provide surety bond programs in line with the needs of their businesses.  His focus on customer service and commitment to his client's bottom line has allowed their businesses to succeed and his client retention to remain high.  In November 2012, Ron merged CBI with The Harry A. Koch Co. making it the largest bond provider in the state.

Ron served in the U.S. Army from 1958-1962.  In his free time Ron enjoys spending time with his family.

Jacqui Drey

Jacqui joined The Koch Co. as an Account Executive in November 2012 as part of the Constructors Bonding group.  With her came a wealth of experience in the surety bond business, being involved in the service side of the industry for over 25 years.  As a liaison between the carrier and our clients, Jacqui works to make sure our clients are poised to receive the bonds they need to work effectively in their businesses.  Her focus is on providing the highest level of customer service to our clients.

Jacqui is a graduate of the University of Nebraska - Omaha and holds a resident property & casualty license in Nebraska and several non-resident licenses.

Pat Querry joined the Harry A. Koch Co. in 2003 as Claims Manager. His responsibilities have expanded to include managing both the Claim and Loss Control Department. His contributions led to a promotion in 2011to First Vice President. He manages the handling of litigated claims and is very familiar with the legal process. He has been involved with large property claims and he has supervised medical malpractice claims.

Pat's extensive knowledge allows him to assist clients in reducing their workers' compensation experience mods through claims reviews and claim management strategies. He has worked in all areas of claims in his career spanning 37 years. His claims management experience includes property, liability, workers' compensation, malpractice, and EPLI.

As an advocate for our clients, Pat works diligently to achieve favorable claim results. He is also instrumental in developing customized claim handling protocols based on each customer's needs.

Pat has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He holds the Associate in Claims designation as well as Senior Claim Law Associate designation. He is also a member of the Nebraska Claim Association of Omaha.

Kathie Hoes, AIC, AAI, AIS, AINS

Kathie joined The Harry A. Koch Co. in 2003 as a Commercial Lines Service Representative.  Her decade of experience handling claims for a national carrier led her to The Koch Claim Department.  Kathie was promoted to Senior Claims Specialist early in 2011 as a reward for her success working with our large accounts.  Her technical knowledge, customer service, solid contributions, and reliability earned her a place as a leader in Claims.

Kathie consistently goes above and beyond for her clients.  Her technical ability and critical thinking skills give her the insight necessary to handle claims with a thorough understanding of what is necessary for a successful resolution.  As an industry professional, Kathie has earned designations including Associate in Claims (AIC), Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI), Associate in Insurance Services (AIS), and Associate in General Insurance (AINS).

For leisure, Kathie loves spending time outdoors, traveling and camping.

Robyn joined The Harry A. Koch Co. September 2009.  Her employment history includes 28 years at Travelers Insurance (aka St. Paul Insurance and St. Paul Travelers Insurance). During her time at Travelers, Robyn worked for four years as a Claim Case Manager, handling high exposure workers' compensation claims for construction and commercial accounts, ten years as a Senior Claim Representative, handling Medical Professional and General Liability claims for and eight years as a Claim Service Representative handling workers' compensation claims. 

Robyn has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.  She is a licensed property/casualty agent in the state of Nebraska and has earned her Accredited Advisor in Insurance designation and Associate in General Insurance designation.

Debi joined The Harry A. Koch Co. in 2005 as an Administrative Assistant with 6 years experience in the Administrative field.  She was promoted to Claims Assistant in July 2006. Since that time, Debi has successfully obtained her Property/Casualty insurance license and completed the Accredited Adviser in Insurance course, earning a designation. She is currently working to earn the Associate in Claims designation and attending various other seminars and classes to further her knowledge in the claims and insurance fields.


Ron Pettit

Ron came to The Harry A. Koch Co. in 2000 as a Loss Control Specialist. His current responsibilities include working with our top clients, evaluating their overall loss history and loss control programs. His diverse background in business management, construction, and as an insurance carrier Loss Control Engineer give unique insight to Ron as he conducts onsite surveys, evaluates exposures with significant loss potential and existing controls, identifies deficiencies and provides explanations of the corrective actions necessary to make work sites safe. Through careful evaluation of the work environment, employee practices, and company procedures, Ron uses his OSHA training to consult with our clients and create successful loss control programs. His involvement with various professional safety organizations gives him the knowledge, tools and resources to improve company's safety performance. Ron conducts OSHA certification training for our clients regularly.

Prior to joining The Koch Co., Ron worked in the commercial construction industry for 20 years, worked for a national insurance carrier as a Loss Control Engineer and operated his own business for 10 years. In 2005, he earned a Master's degree in Environmental and Health Safety. Ron's leisure time is spent hunting and golfing.

Clyde is a graduate of Bellevue University and graduated with Magna Cum Laude distinction. Clyde joined The Harry A. Koch Co. with a background in commercial sales and client services as well as safety, manufacturing and governmental compliance. Since 2003, he had been with FirstLine Insurance Services, Inc., an agency affiliated with First National Bank of Omaha. FirstLine merged with The Harry A. Koch Co. on January 1, 2005.

His responsibilities at The Harry A. Koch Co. include providing professional risk management assistance to clients and business associates primarily for the construction, security, manufacturing, and transportation industries.

Clyde is actively involved with Nebraska Concrete and Aggregate Association, AGC Heavy Highway and other construction related associations. Clyde has been a volunteer with Junior Achievement and Big Brothers & Big Sisters of the Midlands. Clyde is an avid golfer and enjoys spending time with his two children.

Al Cramer, CIC, AFIS, AAI

Al Cramer is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, obtaining a B.A. in Business Marketing and Economics in 1979.

Al was employed by Federated Insurance and completed a one-year training program in 1980. He worked as a marketing representative with Federated for three years in Illinois.

Al worked in agribusiness insurance with several Illinois agri associations. This included fertilizer and chemical, grain and feed, farm equipment, and petroleum marketers associations. He worked in sales and service of insurance products for association members.

Al joined The Harry A. Koch Co. in 1984 as an agricultural property and casualty insurance specialist. He has implemented a successful program for Ralston Purina Feed Dealers in Kansas and Missouri. He moved to Omaha from Kansas City in 1985 and was promoted to vice president in 1988.

Al has been awarded the Accredited Advisor in Insurance and Registered Health Underwriter designations. He specializes in commercial insurance business development and account management, primarily for agribusiness. Current association involvement is with Nebraska Grain & Feed Association.

Bill Johnson

William R. Johnson is a graduate of Omaha University, obtaining his B.A. in Economics in 1965. Upon graduation he joined the Maryland Casualty Company and held the position of Underwriting Manager for property and liability in Nebraska and Iowa.

Bill joined The Harry A. Koch Co. in 1971 as a member of the Marketing Department. In 1975, claim management was his added responsibility. He joined Koch's sales division in 1985.

Bill is considered one of the best technicians in the local insurance industry. He conducts meetings and seminars for the sales and support staff on coverage and claims.

Bill is a current member of the Independent Insurance Agents of America and Rotary International.

Jeff Scanlan, CPCU

Jeff Scanlan is a 1978 graduate of Peru State College with a B.A. in Business Administration and earned the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 1986. He began his insurance career with Universal Underwriters Insurance Company in a sales position, marketing to new car dealers in eastern Nebraska.

From 1986 to 2004, Jeff was employed with Berkshire Hathaway's insurance division. Jeff managed a five state territory including responsibilities for all underwriting, marketing, loss control and company services. He was also part of the company's Product Development Team where he was successful in launching several programs for the agricultural industry, construction, specialty workers compensation, and specialty auto. Jeff has also served on several industry-related legislative boards and was elected to serve as a board member on the Nebraska Property and Liability Guarantee Association.

Jeff joined The Harry A. Koch Co. in the Spring of 2004.

J. Andrew Sibbernsen

Andy has over twenty years experience in the commercial insurance industry. Prior to joining The Harry A. Koch Co. in 1999, his experience includes positions as Sr. Vice President with both Sedgwick and Marsh McLennan companies, in Omaha and Denver. Responsibilities include insurance program design, implementation, and ongoing large account handling.

Andy is a graduate of the University of Kansas and has participated in numerous advanced training and educational programs. He has served as President and Chairman for the Independent Agents Association in Omaha, and as a member of the State Chamber of Commerce Labor committee and Workers' Compensation subcommittee. His responsibilities at The Harry A Koch Co. include new business development and account service responsibility. He holds his agent's and consultant's license in Nebraska.

Jack has been with The Harry A. Koch Co. since 1997 and has over 30 years of experience in commercial lines insurance with CNA and Wausau Insurance specializing in Loss Control and Risk Management. While at CNA, Jack managed the Nebraska and Iowa Territories leading the country in profitability utilizing Risk Management techniques in Safety and Claims Management.

His responsibilities at The Harry A. Koch Co. include providing professional Risk Management assistance to clients and business associates. Jack has diverse experience in Risk Management with emphasis in Claims and Loss Control. This experience has enabled Jack to fully understand your operations and the exposures associated within your business environment in an effort to properly evaluate your exposures and insure they are adequately protected.

Jack attended Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls, Iowa and the University of Dubuque located in Dubuque, Iowa where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Safety. Jack is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Professional Member of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE).

Jack is an active member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. His level of involvement over the past 16 years has included leadership positions in Men's Club; Sports Commission; Finance Committee; SPREE and coaching Junior High Football. Jack and his wife of 29 years have one daughter who recently graduated from St. Louis University.

With over twenty years of experience in the commercial lines insurance industry, Bill joined The Koch Co. in 2008 as a Sales Executive. His promotion to Vice President in 2010 coincided with increased experience and responsibility for consulting work with large Midwest businesses.

As a team leader on accounts, his responsibilities include sales implementation, insurance program design and monitoring, service plan design, stewardship reporting and consulting services. Bill has been instrumental in designing and implementing transition plans for clients moving to comprehensive insurance programs. Bill regularly serves as an advisor to CEOs and Boards of several large companies in Nebraska, advising on a wide range of Workers' Compensation, Product Liability, Safety, and overall insurance program issues.

Prior to joining The Koch Co., Bill was the Office Operations Manager and Senior Account Executive with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. While there he was a member of the Liberty Legends, Liberty Leaders, Millionaires Club and Top Producers Club.

Bill holds a Bachelor's Degree in Finance from Northwest Missouri State University. He is a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, and an Associate in Risk Management. Bill holds a resident Property / Casualty Insurance license along with a Consultant's License with the State of Nebraska and multiple non-resident licenses.

Bill is active in his community with involvement in Leadership Omaha (class 22), Make-A-Wish Foundation, Creighton Prep Alumni Council, Social Settlement, CUES, Hawthorne Homeowners Association, Arsenal Soccer, and the St. Stephen the Martyr parish.

Derek Briscoe

Derek Briscoe brings 15 years of multi-line insurance experience to The Koch Co. clients.  He is a property and casualty agent, with special emphasis in medical professional liability and workers' compensation.  Since coming on board with Koch, Derek has be involved in strengthening and expanding carrier relationships, specifically in the medical arena.  Expanding the existing strong medical client base into the Long Term Care facilities has been an area where Derek has been instrumental.  His extensive knowledge of the Nebraska Excess Liability Fund, along with his multijurisdictional knowledge, makes him a valuable asset to our clients. 

A graduate of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, he holds his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in Spanish. He started his insurance career handling liability and workers' compensation claims for the nations largest Third Party Administrator before joining an industry renowned marketing development program. This experience allowed him to hone the skills necessary for successfully working as a risk advisor for large commercial clients.

Derek worked for a regional, physician-owned medical professional liability carrier for seven years. He is a member of the National Nebraska and Iowa Medical Group Managers Association, Iowa Medical Society, Nebraska Medical Association, Nebraska Hospital Association and the Professional Liability and Underwriting Society. Outside of work, he enjoys golf, hunting, landscaping and coaching his kids' athletics.


Mark Frantz, CIC, ARM, CRM

Mark brings a diverse background to The Harry A. Koch Co. with experience in both the carrier and brokerage environments. He has over 17 years of experience in sales, client service, and management positions with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company and Hub International Ltd.

Throughout his career, Mark has enjoyed helping his own clients along with supporting other sales and service professionals in the development of solid risk management and insurance programs for employers in several Midwestern states. His industry experiences include: manufacturing, retail, distribution, transportation, agricultural, and contracting.

He holds the Associate of Risk Management designation and was honored with a national "Top Four Graduate" award by the Insurance Institute of America in 1997. He received his Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 2003. He is a Nebraska native and graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a major in marketing and minor in economics.

Mark is active in the alumni association and advisory board of the Nebraska at Kearney Chapter of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. He has also served as a volunteer baseball coach for several years. Mark and his wife Staci are the proud parents of three sons.

Prior to joining The Harry A. Koch Co. from a regional broker in 2002, Paul spent 13 years with the Hartford Insurance Company, primarily in the Omaha Regional Office in both underwriting and supervisory roles.

At The Koch Co., Paul's responsibilities include coverage review, program design, and insurance company coordination. Paul specializes in commercial property casualty insurance for manufacturing, distribution, aviation, and healthcare with an emphasis on General Liability and Workers' Compensation. Koch's Risk Analysis tool along with in depth insurance company knowledge allows him to develop customer specific risk management and insurance solutions for his clients.

Paul graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Finance. He received the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 1998 and the Associate in Marine Insurance Management (AMIM) designation in 1999.

Following graduation, Scott was employed by Mid City Bank. He remained at the bank until December of 1990, attaining the position of Assistant Cashier & Branch Manager in charge of operations.

In January of 1991, Scott joined The Harry A. Koch Co. and is a licensed property/ casualty, life, and health agent; consultant and broker in over 20 states. He has been awarded the Accredited Advisor in Insurance designation and is currently pursuing his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation, having completed six of the ten courses. He is also a member of the National Association of Surety Bond Producers. Scott specializes in Construction, Manufacturing, & School District risk management. He has been a presenter of risk management topics to groups including, AGC, ABC, UNMC, UNO, Large Church Risk Managers Association, and The Professional Insurance Agents of Nebraska.

Scott is married and has 3 children. His civic activities include Optimist International, attaining the position of Club President in 1996. Scott serves on the board of two non- profit associations and is also very active in church activities and coaching his children's sports teams.

Since 1997 he had been with FirstLine Insurance Services, Inc., an agency affiliated with First National Bank of Omaha. FirstLine merged with The Harry A. Koch Co. on January 1, 2005.

Larry has the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and Certified Workers' Compensation Advisor (CWCA) designations and is a licensed agent and consultant. He has also taught CPCU courses for a number of years.

Larry is a graduate of the University of South Dakota with a degree in business management. He is also involved in various community activities including Nebraska Special Olympics, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of the Midlands, and United Way.

Koch Co. in 2016.  His 25+ years in the field of agriculture includes management experience with a privately held multi-national company, a non-profit state trade association, an agricultural dealer-owned manufacturer/wholesaler/distributor of crop protection & crop input products, and a locally controlled cooperative.  Included in this background is 10 years of experience as a commercial insurance agent in multiple states, focusing specifically on agricultural businesses.

Ron specializes in property and casualty insurance for agricultural businesses and farm commercial exposures. 

His extensive experience allows him to assist his clients with risks unique to the agricultural community.   

Ron and his wife, Angie, have two children.  His past civic activities include serving as school board President, country club board secretary, city board of adjustment, University of Nebraska LEAD Program and Leadership Hastings (NE) participant.

Jim joined The Harry A. Koch Co. in 1993 and had a stellar twenty-year career.  In 2013, Jim had the opportunity to start and manage an insurance branch for a large bank in the Denver metro area.  He enjoyed the experience and success of the new branch, but in 2016 Jim and his wife, Michelle, decided to return to Omaha to be close to family and friends. 

After his move back, Jim returned to The Harry A. Koch Co. to perform two roles for the company; Sales Executive and FNB Liaison.  As Sales Executive, Jim provides professional risk management assistance to his commercial clients in the transportation, agriculture, and industrial business.  As The Koch Co.’s FNB Liaison Jim will work with Koch’s parent company, First National Bank of Omaha, and the First Insurance Group agencies to create and maintain a collaborative relationship between all groups.

During his time away from the office, Jim enjoys spending time with his wife Michelle.  They have one daughter, Allison, who is here in Omaha.  Jim also enjoys hiking, biking and historical research.

Koch Co.  Coming to Koch from a regional carrier, she brought the unique perspective from the carrier side of our business and was able to leverage that knowledge into action on behalf of our clients.  Her experience, tenacity, and technical knowledge paved the way for a promotion to Sr. Customer Service Representative, Commercial Lines and Personal Lines Supervisor, and then on to Commercial Insurance Manager overseeing a team of 27.  Her value to The Koch Co. and our clients reveals itself through her specialty in work with financial institutions and her ability to develop workflows, procedures, and training for use throughout the company.  Danielle works to further the use of technology in insurance industry through her involvement with vendor groups at the regional and national level.

As a member of the Koch Management Team, Danielle meets regularly with team members to review agency progression toward our business goals.  She recently provided analysis and program definition for the formation of a new Koch Select Division at The Koch Co. Danielle provides supervision to the employees of this division as well.  She is involved with the Information Technology Steering Committee and provides input to programs affecting Commercial operations.

James Garbina joined The Koch Co. in 1987 as a Sales Executive. In 1992 he was promoted to Vice President and Senior Vice President in 1999. Over the past 26 years, Jim has expanded his role to include responsibility for large account management, strategic planning as a Director in our company, and management of the Employee Benefits and Financial Services Division.

Jim played an integral role in the development of three healthcare trusts. The Non-Profit Association of the Midlands, the Medical Association Trust, and The Koch Trust allow members to enjoy the benefits of large group buying power while controlling costs. Membership in the combined trusts today nears 500 Nebraska-based businesses. Jim is a vital resource for those member businesses; analyzing program design, working with our network of insurance carriers, and collaborating with his associates to ensure the financial goals of member businesses are being met.

In addition to a resident agent, broker, and consultant insurance license and multiple non-resident licenses, Jim holds a Series 6 (FINRA) securities license. As an active member of National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, Jim serves as a Board member and earned hi Fellowship designation (LUTCF) in 1994. He is a current member of the National Association of Health Underwriters and also serves The Koch Co. as our representative with the Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers. In 1990, Laura joined The Harry A. Koch Co.  Over two decades of professional experience with The Koch Co. has led Laura to her current position as the Supervisor of the Employee Benefits Division.  As the supervisor, she oversees the day to day activities of the service team.  The ability to determine best practices, monitor client service needs, and allocating resources in a dynamic environment are strengths she brings to her position.  As a leader in her area, she also is responsible for working with several of our larger accounts.  Claims analysis and reporting are two of her areas of specialty.  Laura is passionate about helping her clients educate their employees on their benefits plans.  Her attention to detail ensures our clients have a thorough understanding of their programs.

In addition to his role as an insurance broker and risk manager for clients, Mike also provides fee-based independent consulting. His consulting services are centered on exposure identification, loss prevention, insurance coverage audits, and the design and implementation of risk programs.

Mike has over 30 years insurance industry experience including previous service as a marketing representative with Allied Insurance, commercial underwriter for Continental Western Group, Nebraska regional underwriting manager with General Casualty, and senior vice president of an independent agency.

Mike has developed expertise in the areas of alternative funding and alternative risk. He set up his first Rent-a-captive program in 1988 (still in existence today) and has since consulted with many clients on self-funding, deductible programs, domestic captive programs and fronted partially self funded programs. His resourceful and creative approach produces exceptional results.

During his insurance company tenure, Mike served as president of the Nebraska Fire & Casualty Underwriters Association. He obtained his Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI) professional designation in 1981. In 1989 he earned his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation, and in 2007 received the Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designation. He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Matt Greenway is from Lincoln, NE. He is a graduate of Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. While at Wayne State, Matt received All-Conference honors on the football field and Presidential Scholar honors in the classroom.

Matt started his insurance career with State Farm as a Sales Executive specializing in personal and commercial lines. His main focus at Koch is commercial property and casualty insurance. Matt is currently pursuing his AAI (Accredited Adviser in Insurance).

Matt is a member of the Cathedral of the Risen Christ church in Lincoln and is involved with LIBA (Lincoln Independent Business Association) and the Lincoln YPG (Young Professional Group). He serves on the board for Junior Achievement and teaches JA class to middle school kids around Lincoln. During his free time, Matt enjoys golf, racquetball and spending time with friends and family.

In March 2005, Mike joined the Benefits Department of The Harry A. Koch Company"s Lincoln office. He specializes in marketing and servicing large and small employer benefit plans. In August 1999, he received his RHU Designation and is now an eight-year Leading Producers Round Table (LPRT) qualifier.

Mike is a licensed life, health and annuities agent, licensed life and health consultant.  He became a member of the Lincoln association of Health Underwriters (LAHU) Board of Directors in 1996. He has served as LAHU President and currently is the National Association of Health Underwriters Region IV Vice President.

Mike currently serves as Associate Director of the National Association of Home Builders, Secretary of the Nebraska State Home Builders Association and Vice President of the Health Partners Initiative.
